Chilliwack Chiefs clinch second with win in Nanaimo

NANAIMO — Matt Argentina’s shorthanded goal early in the third period snapped a tie and lifted the Chilliwack Chiefs to a 3 – 2 victory in Nanaimo Saturday night.

With the win the Chiefs clinched second place in the BCHL Coastal Division in their final regular season game.

Stone Rolston and Willyam Gendron also scored goals for Chilliwack who ended the season with a three-game winning streak.

The Chiefs will open the playoffs Friday night at the Chilliwack Coliseum against the Langley Rivermen, who completed their season in seventh place in the Coastal Division.
