UPDATE: Starbucks spokesperson clarifies that Starbucks will indeed open in 2 new Chilliwack area venues in 2024
CHILLIWACK — Amid ongoing construction of two locations that appear nearly ready for occupation, a Starbucks Canada spokesperson now says two Chilliwack-area locations will indeed open in 2024.
Leanna Rizzi, communications manager for Starbucks Coffee Canada, wrote in an email to Fraser Valley Today dated Friday, Mar. 1 that a Starbucks at 45044 Commercial Court, just north of the Evans roundabout, and one at 52964 Yale Road East in Popkum east of Chilliwack, will indeed open in 2024. She inadvertently stated summer 2025 in her initial email to Fraser Valley Today, but followed up Monday morning to say it is indeed summer 2024.
Rizzi said, “Hi, Mike – thanks for following up! I can confirm a few new details. I can confirm both Starbucks stores…are scheduled to open summer 2024. Each store will have a drive-thru, with the Yale Road location having [a] cafe with seating. We look forward to opening in the community!”
The Commercial Court location is part of a new Petro-Can gas station that will feature a Neighbours convenience store and ancillary car wash, while the Yale Road East location will be situated just north of a Subway and Petro-Canada gas station, just off Highway 1 at exit 135 (Highway 9).
