CHILLIWACK — Quick work by the Chilliwack Fire Department limited damage in a shed fire Saturday morning in the city.

In a news release, fire officials say they were alerted to the fire at 11 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 17) in the 9000 block of Broadway Street. Nine firefighters responded from Halls 1, and 4.

When crews arrived, they saw smoke and flames coming through the roof of a small shed on a residential property. Firefighters were able to quickly attack the stand-alone shed and prevent the fire from jumping to other structures. The shed suffered significant damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
