Over one thousand without power in eastern Fraser Valley

CHILLIWACK — A series of power outages struck the eastern region of the Fraser Valley Saturday (Jan. 13) afternoon, leaving more than one thousand BC Hydro customers without electricity.
According to the BC Hydro outage website, one outage affects homes and businesses south west of Hope from Silver Creek to Ruby Creek. 1050 customers lost power shortly after 1 p.m.
Another outage impacted more than 400 homes and businesses in the area of Seabird Island. Power went out just before 2 p.m.
Crews have been assigned to the outages.
