CHILLIWACK — The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken charge of the missing person case involving 41-year-old Jamie Curtis Bristol from Chilliwack. IHIT’s involvement was triggered by evidence suggesting foul play in Bristol’s disappearance.

In a news release, police describe Bristol as 6 feet tall, weighing 180 lbs, with brown eyes, and Bristol sports tattoos on his scalp and a distinctive skull with flames inked on his neck. It is believed he hasn’t been seen or heard from since December 22.

Working in collaboration with the Chilliwack RCMP and the RCMP Forensic Identification Service, IHIT is pursuing leads and appealing to the public for any information related to Bristol’s whereabouts. Investigators are particularly interested in individuals who recently had contact with Bristol.

Beyond its primary focus on homicides and suspicious deaths, IHIT assumes responsibility for cases of high-risk missing persons where foul play is suspected.

Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of IHIT stated, “We’re appealing to the public for any information that can help us locate Mr. Bristol. We’re going to continue to work closely with the Chilliwack RCMP and our integrated partners to find Mr. Bristol as soon as possible.”

IHIT urges anyone with information on the case to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or via email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
