CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack RCMP continue to guard a home just east of Ruth and Naomi’s Thursday morning (Dec. 28) as multiple forensics personnel with gloves, masks and white coveralls pore over the premises of a home in the 46100 block of Princess Avenue.

An RCMP cruiser has been stationed on the south side of Princess Avenue across from the home in question, as well as another police cruiser just north of the home in an alley behind the home.

Police have now been attending the home for at least three consecutive days following some kind of police incident that first arose on Christmas Day, possibly Christmas Eve.

Fraser Valley Today visited the alley where three forensics investigators, possibly more, were canvassing the backyard of the home. Forensics personnel positioned a blue tarp on the ground and could be seen placing items on the tarp. There appeared to be a black garbage bag within the cordoned off police area. The back door of the home was open as police entered and left the home. Investigators have set up a table with containers to possibly collect evidence; the home’s green compost bin has been tipped on its side to possibly examine its contents.

Three individuals who live in the area of Princess Avenue say the police incident stems from a reported body part that was allegedly found in the vicinity of Ruth and Naomi’s.

A vehicle was reportedly towed from this same house in the last 48 hours.
