CHILLIWACK — Members of the Chilliwack RCMP detachment are eager to connect with the residents they serve, even if it’s constructive criticism that people might have for local police.

As part of their plan to meet in various communities in Chilliwack, officers from the RCMP Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment will hold their next instalment of Coffee with a Cop Wednesday, December 20 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Starbucks at Cottonwood Centre mall, 45585 Luckakuck Way.

Community members are invited to meet staff from the local RCMP detachment and have free coffee over conversation. RCMP officers are simply there to listen to constituents and answer any questions they may have.

Previous Coffee with a Cop events have been held in venues like the Vedder Rotary Trail, Yarrow, and Garrison, just to name a few. To date, there have been at least six events this year where police confer with local residents over coffee.
