New pizza business coming to Garrison area in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — Diverse Properties, an Abbotsford-based property development firm instrumental in the development of Garrison and River’s Edge, says a new pizza business will set up shop in the Garrison Market Place commercial development on Vedder Road, just south of Keith Wilson Road, in Chilliwack.

According to a Facebook post dated Friday, December 15 from Diverse Properties, Pizza 64 is coming soon to 5525 and 5535 Vedder Road. Garrison Market Place is located in Garrison Campus, a master planned community with a mix of commercial and residential opportunities near the southwest corner of Vedder and Keith Wilson.

There are already several eateries in the trendy commercial shopping centre, including Steve’s Poke, Good Taco, Church’s Texas Chicken, Pita Pit, and Kent’s Ice Cream. The social media post from Diverse shows a vacant, turnkey unit in between Church’s Texas Chicken and Pita Pit, as if to indicate Pizza 64 will occupy unit 113 when it’s ready to open.

Diverse did not reveal a planned opening date of Pizza 64, but added hashtags of “New Business Alert” and “Pizza 64 Coming Soon” to its social media post.

Pizza 64 has several locations throughout the Fraser Valley including three in Abbotsford, one in Mission and another in Langley. According to its website, Pizza 64 has been serving the Lower Mainland for the past 13 years and provides flavorful, varied and high-quality menus that appeal to pizza lovers of all ages and tastes. For example, Pizza 64 offers variety pizzas like Canadian, triple meat, chicken bacon ranch, garden fresh, peppery pineapple and bacon burger.

In addition to these five quick-service eateries in Garrison Market Place, there are three fast food restaurants just up the Vedder Road corridor at Thomas Road – McDonald’s, Dairy Queen and A&W. There’s also a Subway at Vedder and Keith Wilson.
