Dairy Queen could open in Popkum east of Chilliwack in spring 2024
POPKUM — There’s already a fast food restaurant in Popkum east of Chilliwack offering Timbits and fresh-roasted coffee, but the kind offering Blizzards and Ultimate hamburgers could open as soon as spring 2024.
According to an International Dairy Queen spokesperson, the franchise owner of a forthcoming Dairy Queen plans to open the restaurant in spring 2024. The location will be 52964 Yale Road, at the intersection of Yale Road East and Highway 9, inside the Rosedale Village shopping centre.
“Thanks for contacting us. I connected with the franchise owner of this location and they plan to open the restaurant in spring 2024. They likely will begin recruiting employees approximately six weeks prior to their grand opening,” said International Dairy Queen spokesperson Amie, who did not provide her last name, in an email to Fraser Valley Today dated
Amie, the DQ spokesperson, invited Fraser Valley Today to check back on more of a definitive grand opening date in approximately two months.
