
Surrey lifeguard, 24, charged with sexual interference
SURREY — Surrey RCMP says an investigation by its Special Victims Unit has led to a charge of sexual interference against a 24-year-old Surrey lifeguard.
According to a news release from the police force Thursday (Nov. 30), Surrey RCMP is advising the public of an investigation by Surrey RCMP Special Victims Unit (SVU) which has led to charge approval against a lifeguard.
On April 11, 2023, Surrey RCMP received a complaint of alleged sexual interference of a minor by a 24-year-old man who was a lifeguard at a City of Surrey Recreation Centre.
Surrey RCMP SVU took conduct of the investigation and arrested the man on April 18, 2023. He was released from police custody on an Undertaking with conditions to appear in court at a later date.
