CHILLIWACK — There are a number of ways to alert the public about an upcoming event involving public officials, whether it’s through Facebook ads, news releases, or other social media avenues.
In the past 24 hours, B.C. Premier David Eby has utilized an automated robocall to publicize an upcoming town hall involving Chilliwack MLAs Dan Coulter and Kelli Paddon.
Chilliwack residents have posted on social media about the automated robocalls from (236) 435-3000, including messages of disapproval from some online commenters on Facebook.
According to a transcript of the phone call from the premier, Eby says he’s calling to invite callers to participate in a live, interactive telephone town hall hosted by Kelli Paddon and Dan Coulter on Wednesday, November 29 at 6:30 p.m. Topics of discussion include housing and health care.
