One killed in Saturday night crash near Chilliwack Lake Road
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack RCMP say one person was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Chilliwack Lake Road Saturday (Nov. 25) evening. Mounties say the driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
In a news release, Mounties say they were called out to the crash just before 7 p.m. Their investigation revealed the vehicle involved became airborne before crashing.
RCMP officers, paramedics from B.C. Emergency Health Service and members of the Chilliwack River Valley Fire Department attended. Police say emergency officials attempted to provide the victim with life-saving treatment but were unsuccessful.
A section of the road was closed to traffic to allow investigators to complete their work. Mounties are expressing their thanks to the motorists who displayed patience with the investigation.
