Pine Meadows Tree Farms opens for the Christmas season Saturday in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — Arthur Loewen started Pine Meadows Tree Farms in Chilliwack in the 1970s.
Five decades later, the father-and-son duo of Arthur and Tim Loewen operate the Christmas tree farm at 47036 Prairie Central Road, 3 kilometres east of Cottonwood Centre mall. The family farm is going strong and back for another season selling locally grown Douglas Fir trees and several other varieties in the beautiful countryside of Chilliwack.
To get the season off on a bright note, the tree farm is offering any size U-cut Christmas tree this weekend for $75 starting Saturday, November 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine.
The farm offers handsaws, and welcomes visitors to use their own battery-powered reciprocating saws. Please note that chainsaws and axes are not permitted. The farm offers tree baling for only $2 to enable patrons to better handle and transport their Christmas tree.
