Lights by the Lake happens this week in Harrison Hot Springs
HARRISON HOT SPRINGS — The Village of Harrison Hot Springs comes alive this weekend as Lights by the Lake, a free event, illuminates the picturesque waterfront community ahead of the Christmas season.
The custom-built light display will feature a creature that’s near and dear to the hearts of many Agassiz-Harrison residents: the legendary Sasquatch. The light display will also highlight local wildlife as the lakefront plaza and trees are dazzled by thousands of vibrant lights, colorful décor and selfie stands.
The Christmas light display will light up approximately one kilometre of waterfront along the promenade, which is fully paved, enabling the spectacle to be wheelchair and stroller-friendly.
The grand opening of Lights by the Lake happens Saturday, November 18 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be free hot chocolate to attendees while supplies last. The evening will feature a visit from Jolly Saint Nick as well as a pet parade, characters from the hit movie Frozen, and live music and performances from Todd Richard, Harrison Elementary School, Angelus Carolers Trio and A Little Moore Magic.
