CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack Restorative Justice and Youth Advocacy Association has approximately 70 bikes to give away to the broader Chilliwack community.

According to executive director Steve Roukema, the non-profit organization and registered charity has been promoting its campaign to distribute free bikes to anyone in the community who might need one, so long as there’s a documented need.

The bikes are available for people who are looking to find or keep employment, accessing necessities like groceries, attending support programs, for fitness, for mental health, or for families who might be struggling financially.

“We have free bikes for community members in need. If you or someone you know could use a free bike, reach out to us and fill in our application form,” Chilliwack Restorative Justice wrote on Facebook.
