City of Chilliwack looking for feedback on city’s curbside collection program
CHILLIWACK — The City of Chilliwack says it is seeking feedback from Chilliwack residents who participate in the city’s curbside collection program as part of a comprehensive review of the program the city has undertaken.
Since some residents belong to a strata, not all residents of Chilliwack participate in the city’s collection program, but for those who do, they’re invited to complete a survey until November 10 at engagechilliwack.com/curbside-survey so that staff craft a new curbside contract.
The city’s curbside program includes garbage, recycling, compostable waste and glass pickup. The survey focuses on collection frequency, type of containers and sizes available, and collection method preferences. Those who complete the survey may enter a draw to win a $100 Visa gift card.
“Over the last few years, our curbside program has gone through a number of changes, including the introduction of compostable waste and glass pickup,” said Mayor Ken Popove. “As we work on the next contract, it’s important for us to hear from residents so we can develop a program that continues to meet the needs of the community.”
