Suspicious cause behind Port Coquitlam school fire

PORT COQUITLAM — R-C-M-P are seeking information about a suspicious fire at an elementary school in Port Coquitlam.

Coquitlam R-C-M-P say Hazel Trembath Elementary School was fully engulfed by fire, and the cause is suspected to be suspicious.

The Mounties say firefighters and police were called to the school early Saturday for reports of a structure fire.

Coquitlam R-C-M-P are asking anyone with surveillance video of the school area at the time of the fire to contact them.
