Discount retailer with savings of 20-60% set to open in less than 2 weeks in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — The revamped Chilliwack Mall is set to welcome yet another retailer in less than two weeks.

According to its website, HomeSense is expected to open on Tuesday, October 24 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for a grand opening.

HomeSense says on its website that it delivers great value from “an ever-changing selection of exciting top brands and home fashions from around the world, at prices generally 20%-60% below full-price retailers’ (including department, specialty, and major online retailers) regular prices, on comparable merchandise, every day.”

The store had a banner near its front entrance inviting prospective employees to discover careers with Home Sense by visiting tjxcanada.ca/apply.

The revamped Chilliwack Mall has improved following its partial demolition in the past 18 months. Safeway’s exterior was renovated earlier this year as the anchor tenant in the Luckakuck Way shopping centre. The mall also features retailers like Reitman’s, SportChek, and Carter’s OshKosh, along with Alpine Dental, Debbie Rae’s Tailor Shop and Marble Slab Creamery.

There is ongoing construction at the southern rear of the property. A development permit, and a development variance permit involving the construction of 200 condo apartments in three mid-rise buildings, was approved earlier this year by Chilliwack city council.
