ABBOTSFORD — Correctional Service Canada says no foul play is suspected in the death of a prisoner at Pacific Institution in Abbotsford.
According to a news release from the federal agency, Roy William MacGregor, an inmate from Pacific Institution, died of apparent natural causes on Sunday, October 1 while in custody.
At the time of death, MacGregor had been serving an indeterminate sentence that began on May 2, 1978, for second-degree murder and other convictions.
The inmate’s next of kin have been notified.
