Chilliwack Fire, BC Ambulance respond after pedestrian reportedly hit by car Wednesday morning

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack Fire, BC Ambulance Service and Chilliwack RCMP were dispatched Wednesday morning after a pedestrian was reportedly struck by a red SUV vehicle at the intersection of First Avenue and Cheam Avenue, between Freshco and the Chilliwack library.

The incident happened at approximately 10:42 a.m. Wednesday. Firefighters and paramedics were on scene within minutes of getting the call for service.

Fire Hall No. 1 is located about 100 metres east of where the collision occurred.

The pedestrian appeared to be an older female. She was positioned on her side as a result of the collision, and multiple paramedics attended to her. She was eventually placed onto a stretcher and placed into the care of BC Ambulance.
