Chilliwack RCMP confirms man drowned last weekend at Lindeman Lake
CHILLIWACK — As previously reported by Fraser Valley Today over the weekend, Chilliwack RCMP has confirmed that a 30-year-old man died following a drowning at Lindeman Lake.
According to a statement Wednesday (Aug. 16) from Chilliwack RCMP Sgt. Krista Vrolyk, a 30-year-old man died after he had difficulty staying afloat at Lindeman Lake and became submerged. Bystanders had pulled the man from the lake.
Despite resuscitation efforts performed by bystanders and first responders, the man died.
“Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the man’s family and friends,” Sgt. Vrolyk said in a statement.
