Klaassen Farms hosting Family Day event this Saturday in Rosedale

CHILLIWACK — If last weekend was a meat lover’s paradise at Vedder Park, a Rosedale blueberry farm has activities tailored to blueberry fans and families alike during the long weekend.

Klaassen Farms in Rosedale will host Family Day featuring free face painting, burger slider samples, and a chance to pick bluecrop blueberries for as little as $1 a pound, this Saturday, August 5 at 51211 Chilliwack Central Road.

Free face painting lasts from 9-3, while burger slider samples are available from 11-3 featuring local bacon jam. There will be blueberry grilled cheese sandwiches for sale from 11-3, along with other items for sale like blueberry pies, blueberry cookies, blueberry parfaits, charcuterie and fruit cups, blueberry lemonade and more.

The Chef’s Acre will serve up tantalizing farm-to-table grub from their food truck from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There will be a limited supply of U-pick bluecrop blueberries on sale for the day at only $1/pound.
