Chilliwack RCMP investigating glass break at Vedder Road liquor store

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack RCMP are investigating an incident in which multiple suspects, possibly juveniles, used a bat to damage the glass window at a liquor store in the 5800 block of Vedder Road last week.

According to a press release from Sgt. Krista Vrolyk of the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment, Chilliwack RCMP received a report of a glass break alarm coming from a commercial business located in the 5800 block of Vedder Road on Thursday, July 20 at approximately 4:45 a.m.

RCMP did not identify the business in its press release, but it is believed to be the Jolly Miller Liquor Store at 5865 Vedder Road.

Sgt. Vrolyk says a preliminary investigation suggests that the window was smashed by suspects using what appears to be a bat. The suspects then fled on foot.
