This year's parade gets underway at 11:45 a.m. just south of Chilliwack Lake Road along Paulsen Road. The Chilliwack River Valley Fire Department typically sends one of its fire engines to participate in the patriotic parade in Post Creek.

CHILLIWACK — While there isn’t a formal parade within Chilliwack city limits itself per se this Saturday, there’s a Canada Day parade happening way down Chilliwack Lake Road in a small little subdivision filled with vacation-style homes and quite a few permanent residents.

Post Creek residents know how to celebrate Canada’s national day of pride like they did last year with a fun-filled procession of floats, ATVs, flags, assorted vehicles, and even a boat filled with revelers.

This year’s Canada Day parade gets underway at about 11:45 a.m. this Saturday at the rustic subdivision about one kilometre west of Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park. The parade is a quick one but embodies the spirit of Canada Day.
