CHILLIWACK — Residents from Chilliwack to Hope sure seem to have a sweet tooth when it comes to Smile Cookies from Tim Hortons.

Through their highly anticipated Smile Cookie Week campaign, the local Tim Hortons stores collectively raised an impressive $32,520 to support the foundation’s vital initiatives, according to a statement from the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation.

Smile Cookie Week, an annual charitable event organized by Tim Hortons, took place from May 1 to 7 and aimed to bring smiles to the faces of customers while contributing to the local community. Throughout the entire week, Tim Hortons locations from Chilliwack to Hope generously donated the full proceeds from the sales of their iconic Smile Cookies to FVHCF.

The partnership between Tim Hortons and FVHCF proved to be a tremendous success, as community members enthusiastically supported the initiative. The dedicated teams at the local Tim Hortons stores worked tirelessly to bake and sell thousands of Smile Cookies, attracting customers with their irresistible flavor and adorable smiley face design.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Tim Hortons, the Chilliwack and Hope franchises, and their wonderful customers for their incredible generosity,” said Liz Harris, executive director of FVHCF. “These funds will make a significant impact on our ability to provide exceptional care and support to patients and their families in Chilliwack and Fraser Canton. We are truly grateful for this meaningful partnership.”

Robert Beischer, fund development coordinator from FVHCF, presented Ivy Mitchell, operations manager for Tim Hortons’ area franchises, with a plaque of appreciation for the support with the Smile Cookie campaigns. The other Chilliwack and Hope franchises owners, Greg McAuley and Simon Loo, will be honoured at later date.

“The success of Smile Cookie Week demonstrates the power of collaboration and community involvement in creating positive change,” said Beischer. “Local Tim Hortons teams and FVHCF have proven that even a simple act like enjoying a cookie can make a significant difference in the lives of those who rely on our local hospitals.”
