Air ambulance dispatched to Agassiz Saturday night after young child sustains burns

AGASSIZ — B.C. Emergency Health Services personnel were called to Logan Road in Agassiz Saturday night (June 24) after a 3-year-old girl sustained burns to her body.
According to scanner traffic, Agassiz Fire Department and EHS personnel were dispatched to the area of Logan Road in Agassiz for the report of a young child with burns.
EHS asked for an air ambulance to respond and set up a landing zone. The fire department in Agassiz set up a landing zone at Agassiz Christian School.
The patient, who was reportedly awake, was transported via air ambulance. The air ambulance lifted off at 7:37 p.m. from Agassiz Christian School (7571 Morrow Road) according to witnesses.
