ABBOTSFORD — In their line of work, police see the good, the bad, and the not-so-pretty.

Like this unsafe vehicle, with what appears to be a broken rear cargo window, that was improperly towing a trailer on Clearbrook Road just south of Highway 1 over the weekend.

In a social media post Wednesday morning (June 21), the Traffic Enforcement Unit with the Abbotsford Police Department said it observed a Ford Aerostar-looking vehicle carrying a load. Upon inspection, police found that the driver was operating the trailer 2,200 kilograms over weight with an improper hitch and inadequate breakaway chains, presenting a serious traffic safety concern.

Although not illegal, there were multiple garbage bags atop the Aerostar in an unusual display of cargo.
