Mission RCMP arrests repeat shoplifters who stole over $2K in baby formula
MISSION — Two suspects with a reported history of high-value shoplifting from various stores throughout the Lower Mainland couldn’t elude the Mission RCMP in their latest attempt at theft last week.
In a Facebook post from the Mission RCMP detachment, Mounties reported that on Friday, June 9, a loss prevention officer from a retail store in Mission advised them that a female who was already banned from the store had just left after stealing over $2,000 worth of baby formula.
The female and a male, both in their 40s, were stopped by Mission RCMP after attempting to leave in a pickup truck.
According to Mission RCMP, the couple was arrested for theft, and police recovered the formula and returned it to the store. The suspects have a history of high-value shoplifting from various communities throughout the Lower Mainland.
