ABBOTSFORD — A B.C. driver’s careless joy ride at speeds exceeding 200 kilometres an hour on Highway 1 didn’t last long Wednesday night.
Instead, the careless motorist will enjoy a different kind of thrill – higher ICBC rates, violation tickets to address, and an impounded car.
Following reports from area residents, patrol officers from the Abbotsford Police Department caught up to the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro-looking vehicle Wednesday night after the motorist was caught driving recklessly at over 200 km/hr on Highway 1.
In a Facebook post Thursday, Abby PD credited motorists with being instrumental in bringing the driver with a lead foot to justice.
