First halal meat and grocery market coming to downtown Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — The first of its kind halal meat market in Chilliwack is set to open in downtown Chilliwack later this week.
Sultana Market Grocery and Halal Meat wrote on Facebook last week that Chilliwack’s first ever halal meat and grocery store will be opening this Thursday, June 1 at 6 p.m. for its grand opening at 46240 Yale Road, about one block northeast of Five Corners.
“Catering to our ever growing diverse community, we will be offering a variety of vegetarian and halal frozen items, dry items such as spices, rice, flour, and the best quality fresh halal meat; including lamb, goat, veal, beef and poultry all in your very own city,” Sultana Market Grocery posted on Facebook on Thursday, May 25.
The store will offer authentic tastes of India, Pakistan, Fiji, and Mediterranean food, as well as imported and local items from brands such as K&N, Doughstory, Menu, Deep, Sher, Nanak, and Traditional.
