CHILLIWACK — An elderly man from Vancouver Island who went missing last week and was last seen in Hope has been found deceased.
In a statement from Agassiz RCMP Sgt. Michael Sargent, media relations spokesperson for the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment, the RCMP confirmed Friday morning that Leslie Desfosses, 89, of Saanich has been located deceased.
“Our sincere condolences to the family and friends,” Sgt. Sergeant said. “The RCMP would like to thank the media and public for their assistance.”
Desfosses was last seen in Hope on May 16 while travelling to Lytton.
