RCMP invites Hope residents to community policing event Thursday night
HOPE — The Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment in Chilliwack is on the final leg of a series of community meetings designed to solicit feedback from the very residents it serves between Chilliwack and Boston Bar.
Hope residents are invited to directly share their input on community policing strategies for the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment (UFVRD) at a meeting Thursday night, May 25 at the Hope Recreation Centre, 1005 6th Avenue, starting at 6 p.m.
At a minimum, As RCMP personnel make decisions about the next couple years, they’d like to engage the broader Hope community about what matters to them concerning policing.
Doors open at 6 p.m., the presentation begins at 6:15 p.m., and discussion will commence at 6:30 p.m. Topics include local policing initiatives, 2022 in review, community survey responses, and open dialogue with decision-makers from the RCMP.
