Elderly man missing: last seen in Hope

HOPE — A search is underway for an elderly man who was last seen in Hope Tuesday.

Hope RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating 89-year-old Leslie Desfosses of Saanich. Desfosses was last seen in Hope May 16 around 4:30 p.m. while travelling to Lytton.

“Police and family are very concerned for Leslie’s well-being,” said Sergeant Mike Sargent of the Upper Fraser Valley RCMP.

Desfosses is described as being 6′ 2″ and 179 pounds. He has white hair and blue eyes, although he wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a purple t-shirt, brown shorts and brown sandals. He was driving a grey 2012 Subaru Forester with the licence plate: 925SLA.
