CHILLIWACK — A mid-morning vehicle incident is slowing traffic eastbound on Highway 1 through Greendale, west of Chilliwack, Tuesday morning (May 16).

In a tweet from at 9:42 a.m., Drive B.C. says there is a vehicle incident west of Yale Road (exit 109) affecting eastbound traffic. Crews are en route, but motorists should expect delays.

Traffic is clogged, and showing red on Google Maps, up all the back to exit 99, at the Cole Road rest stop for eastbound motorists. Some social media users are saying traffic is backed up even farther west to Whatcom Road (exit 95) for eastbound motorists.
