ABBOTSFORD — A day after a massive fire burned one of its barns on ag land just south of Highway 1 east of Clearbrook in Abbotsford, and closed the popular retailer for a day, Neufeld Farm Market has reopened.

Neufeld Farm Market took to Facebook Tuesday morning to say it is grateful for the outpouring of support it received.

“We are overwhelmed with the love and support we have received from such an incredible community. Looking forward to serving you today. We are open!”

A fire appears to have destroyed most of a barn on its property at 32215 King Road in Abbotsford, south of Highway 1. However, there were no injuries associated with the inferno whose plumes of smoke could be seen for miles Monday morning.

“Thank you so much to the amazing @abbotsfordfirefighters department for tirelessly working at putting out the fire on one of our barns today,” Neufeld Farm Market wrote on Facebook Monday afternoon. “No humans or animals were hurt, which we are incredibly thankful for. They also saved the barn beside the one that burned down. They were extremely brave and we cannot thank them enough.”

Neufeld Farms supplies frozen products to schools, swim clubs, and other non-profit groups in Chilliwack when they conduct fundraisers.
