CHILLIWACK — A time-honoured tradition since 1876 will be trotting into Chilliwack in late June.

In commemoration of the RCMP’s 150th anniversary, the Chilliwack Agricultural Society will host two shows of the RCMP Musical Ride on the day students are let out of SD33, Thursday, June 29, Chilliwack Heritage Park.

Tickets will go on sale next week for 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. performances.

The RCMP Musical Ride comes to British Columbia once every four years, giving Chilliwack residents a rare opportunity to see the spectacle that is known around the world.

The Musical Ride embodies tradition, honour, and pride, and is a Canadian icon recognized at home and abroad. The Musical Ride supports front-line police operations by building positive relationships, supporting recruiting efforts and promoting the RCMP’s image in communities in Canada and around the world.
