Chilliwack beats Nanaimo 5 – 2, take 3 – 0 lead in series
CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Chiefs moved to within one victory of a trip to a BCHL semi-final series following a 5 – 2 victory over Nanaimo Tuesday (Apr. 18) night in Chilliwack.
Brian Morse, Olivier Beaulieu, Dylan Kinch, Michael La Starza and Duncan Ramsay scored goals in the Chiefs balanced attack. Brody Waters and Jake Hewitt replied by the Clippers.
Lucas Szyszka stopped 19 of 21 shots in the Chiefs net while Aidan Campbell faced 32 Chilliwack shots.
The Chiefs opened the scoring late in the first period, added two more in the second and never looked back in taking a commanding 3 games to 0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
