MP Brad Vis helps secure nearly $6 million for waterfront upgrades in Harrison Hot Springs
HARRISON HOT SPRINGS — MP Brad Vis, representing Harrison Hot Springs and Agassiz in his Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon riding, announced Monday (Apr. 17) that he has helped secure nearly $6 million toward waterfront infrastructure upgrades for the Village of Harrison Hot Springs.
“I am pleased to have helped secure over $13 million for Village of Cache Creek, Village of Harrison Hot Springs and Village of Lytton for infrastructure projects through the Canada Community Building Fund,” Vis wrote in a statement.
Harrison Hot Springs will receive exactly $5,999,350 for waterfront infrastructure upgrades. Project specifics were not available. An email has been sent to Harrison Hot Springs staff seeking clarity on the nature of the waterfront infrastructure upgrades.
To assist in the rebuilding of Lytton, over $5 million will be delivered to restore the drinking water distribution system and increase local government capacity to undertake long term infrastructure initiatives.
