Hope Fire Dept. extinguishes suspicious RV fire on Othello Rd.
HOPE — Six firefighters from the Hope Fire Department were deployed to extinguish a recreational vehicle that caught fire on Othello Road early Thursday morning (Apr. 13).
According to a social media post from the department, Hope firefighters were dispatched to the 69000 block of Othello Road at approximately 2:30 a.m. for the report of a fire. On arrival, crews found an RV that was fully engulfed in fire. Fire personnel also located another small fire in a pile of construction material adjacent to a structure, about 50 feet away from the RV fire.
Both fires were contained and are considered suspicious and are under investigation, Hope Fire Department wrote on Facebook. Six firefighters responded to the call and units remained on scene until 4 a.m.
Overnight between Tuesday, April 4 and the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 5, Hope Fire Department says it responded to three suspicious fires in a 24-hour span.
