Abbotsford Hospice Society raises over $160K from sold-out gala
ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Hospice Society (AHS) celebrated its 20th annual Moments of Hope gala on April 1 under a banner theme of “Singin’ in the Rain.”
In a news release from the Abbotsford Hospice Society, the sold-out event at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre in Abbotsford was designed to raise funds to support Abbotsford Hospice Society and repairs to the Holmberg House. As a result of sponsors, donors, attendees, and volunteers the gala raised $161,470.
Hosted by Curtis Pope and Bharathi Sandhu, the evening featured entertainment performed by the Abbotsford School of Integrated Arts (ASIA), the Abby Big Band & Vocal Jazz Ensembles, and Willy and The Wannabes, a three-course dinner, silent & live auction, and raffles. A speech from executive director Andrea Critchley and an inspiring testimonial video from families who have been impacted by Abbotsford Hospice Society.
