Paul Walker announced Wednesday (Apr. 12) that police have arrested a 38-year-old man for his alleged role in a targeted robbery in which a 62-year-old woman was robbed at her home in the 300 block of Ross Road in Abbotsford. During the robbery, the suspects presented a firearm demanding money from the victim before stealing and leaving in the victim’s vehicle. Both the victim’s stolen vehicle and the suspect vehicle used to arrive at the victim’s property have been located and seized by police.

ABBOTSFORD — Major Crime detectives with the Abbotsford Police Department have arrested a 38-year-old man for his alleged role in the robbery of a 62-year-old woman at her Ross Road home earlier this month.

Abbotsford PD patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of Ross Road on Saturday, April 1 at 8:06 p.m. A 62-year-old female victim reported being robbed by five unknown males who were wearing face masks while outside on her property.

According to a Wednesday press release from Sgt. Paul Walker, media relations spokesman for the Abbotsford PD, Major Crime detectives are confirming that this incident was targeted. The intended recipient was another individual associated with the residence.

Investigators have recovered an imitation firearm believed to have been used during the robbery. The AbbyPD Major Crime Unit continues to investigate and is asking anyone with information to contact the AbbyPD.
