Hope, Yale firefighters stop shop fire from spreading to nearby home
HOPE — Hope firefighters, along with volunteer personnel from the Yale and District Volunteer Fire Department, were able to contain a structure fire within a shop or shed on Landstrom Road, located west of downtown Hope, Monday evening.
According to Hope Fire Chief Thomas Cameron, Hope firefighters were dispatched for a structure fire sometime after 5 p.m. on Monday (Apr. 10). The fire originated, and was contained to, a shop or shed on the property. Chief Cameron said firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby residence.
A picture shared by Jay Thorsel shows multiple fire engines attending to a fire located directly behind a primary residence.
“Our thanks to the Yale and District Volunteer FD for their assistance in mutual aid,” Cameron said.
