Free coffee returns Thursday as “Coffee with a Cop” meets at Midtown Starbucks
CHILLIWACK — Members of the Chilliwack RCMP promise they won’t break out into long-winded speeches or subject attendees to a carefully crafted narrative.
There’s no pretense about the opportunity to connect with members of the Chilliwack RCMP when Coffee with a Cop returns Thursday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Midtown Starbucks, located at 45604 Airport Road.
Officers will be there to chat with Chilliwack residents and answer questions. Residents can stop by, get caffeinated, say hi, and get acquainted with officers in the community.
At a previous Coffee with a Cop event on Wednesday, February 1 at the Starbucks at Vedder and Keith Wilson, Officer-in-Charge for the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment, Superintendent Davy Lee, was on hand alongside Inspectors Jeff Bowerman and Darren Pankratz, RCMP Sgt. Krista Vrolyk, media relations spokesperson, and Debbie Sargent, who works in RCMP communications. As promised, police handed out free coffee with no hidden agenda and no political speeches, rather just open dialogue with Chilliwack residents. All people had to do was sign their first name on a participant list near the Starbucks cash register.
