CHILLIWACK — CTV News out of Vancouver is reporting that a missing 48-year-old man’s boat has been reportedly recovered, but the Chilliwack resident was not on board.

According to a published report on CTV News, and confirmed Saturday evening by Fraser Valley Today, Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment spokesperson Sgt. Mike Sargent has confirmed that Patrick Jordan’s boat has been recovered from a sandbar in the Harrison river, but the missing man was not on board.

Sgt. Mike Sargent said in an emailed response at 4:51 p.m. Saturday: “The search remains ongoing.” He later responded with a second email at 6:18 p.m. Saturday night by saying, “Yes, the boat was recovered on a sandbar in the river.”

Earlier in the week, the Upper Fraser Valley RCMP distributed a press release Friday (Mar. 31) asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jordan, who was last seen operating a boat on the Harrison River near Kilby Thursday night at 7 p.m.

Patrick Jordan is described as a Caucasian male standing 5’5″ tall, weighing 146 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes.

As RCMP investigators continue to search for Patrick Jordan they are asking the public to remain watchful for him.

“Police and family are concerned for Jordan’s well-being,” said Sgt. Sargent, spokesperson for the UFVRD.
