Tydel Foods of Chilliwack honoured with Fraser Valley Cultural Diversity award
ABBOTSFORD — Thanks to its community initiatives aimed at helping low-income seniors and families around town, Chilliwack retail meat store Tydel Foods headlined the list of winners at Thursday night’s 20th annual Fraser Valley Cultural Diversity Awards at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre in Abbotsford.
Tydel Foods of Chilliwack has built a reputation for competitively priced beef and chicken at its store in downtown Chilliwack, and for giving out over 1,000 Christmas meals as well as collecting and distributing clothing during the colder winter months.
Tydel Foods took home the award for Inclusive Environment (Large) from Chilliwack.
Tydel Foods, owned by Brigida Crosbie, is a community-based shop on Patten Avenue Avenue in Chilliwack that sells meat at affordable prices and is open to anyone.
