
Streams Canada offering free spring break camp at Great Blue Heron Reserve in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack-based Streams Canada Foundation wrote on Facebook Wednesday (Feb. 22) that it will be offering a free four-day spring break camp at the Great Blue Heron Reserve in Chilliwack for ages 10-16.
Registration for the “Streams Free Spring Break Day Camp” will be opening soon, the charitable foundation wrote on its Facebook page. It asks parents to please stay tuned as spots will be limited.
The free four-day camp, which operates from Monday, March 27 through Thursday, March 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is a joint collaboration with the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve Society , Hi Neighbour Sardis Community Initiative by United Way, and Chilliwack and District Real Estate Board. Each half day will provide participants with an opportunity for making new friends, outdoor learning, in-class art activities, and snacks/lunch (provided) within the beautiful Blue Heron Nature Reserve.
The camp is open to participants between the ages of 10-16. Activities also consist of storytelling, nature exploration, and classroom lectures.
