City of Chilliwack hosting free Family Day ice skate, discounted swimming at rec centres

CHILLIWACK — The City of Chilliwack plans to give families something to do on the Family Day statutory holiday this coming Monday, February 20.

The city wrote on its website that it will open up both sheets of ice at the Sardis Sports Complex for families to enjoy a public skate on February 20 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Come by for a free skate and free hot chocolate.

Please note, skate rentals are $5, or per their website, the city says attendees can receive free kids rentals with the purchase of two adult rentals from the same family.

If skating isn’t your thing, both the Cheam Leisure Centre and the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre will host Family Day swims on Monday, Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is a special admission rate of $2 per person.
