Chilliwack RCMP arrest 35-year-old Chilliwack man for aggravated assault
CHILLIWACK — Mounties in Chilliwack have arrested a 35-year-old man after he was involved in an aggravated assault incident Tuesday afternoon that sent a 30-year-old man to hospital.
According to Sgt. Krista Vrolyk, media relations spokesperson for the Chilliwack RCMP, Chilliwack RCMP took the Chilliwack man into custody. The suspect has since been released on conditions pending his first court appearance.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old victim has been released from hospital and the investigation continues, Sgt. Vrolyk said.
At least 10 Chilliwack RCMP units were called to the 9300 block of Nowell Street Tuesday at about 3:30 p.m. after receiving reports of an aggravated assault. Information at the time revealed a man had been assaulted and sustained significant injury.
