Sunday night shooting injures one in Abbotsford
ABBOTSFORD — For the second time in 24 hours, Abbotsford Police are investigating a shooting in the city. The latest shooting occurred Sunday (Jan. 22) at 6:30 p.m. in the Pullman Avenue area.
A news release from AbbyPD says when officers arrived at the scene of the shooting in the 27800 block of Pullman Avenue, they found a man in his twenties with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is in its early stages however police are confident in stating the shooting was not random, but instead a targeted attack. The AbbyPD Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation with the assistance of patrol officers and the Forensic Identification Section.
Police have not linked the Sunday shooting with the incident Saturday night when four men in their twenties suffered injuries in a shooting along the 28700 block of King Road. Like the Sunday shooting, police say that attack was targeted.
