One dead after truck submerges in Harrison Lake – Foul play ruled out

AGASSIZ — Agassiz RCMP are reporting the death of one person in Harrison Lake.
In a news release, Mounties say they were called to the Green Point boat launch at the end of Rockwell Drive Saturday (Dec. 31). Witnesses reported seeing a truck enter the water and submerge.
An RCMP Underwater Recovery Team was called to the scene and assisted with the removal of the truck from the water. RCMP have confirmed foul play has been ruled out in the death of the man in the truck.
“Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of the man who perished in this tragic incident,” said RCMP Sgt. Mike Sargent.
